Message from the President
Dear Members and Friends:
To some, the year 2003 is but yet another year, another number on their calendar. But to the San Diego Chinese American Science and Engineering Association, 2003 is unique, for it marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the organization. Therefore, we would like to use this special occasion to celebrate the vitality of the SDCASEA and the years of service that it has provided for the San Diego community. During the past 20 years, the SDCASEA has had a history of accomplishments, and through the dedication of loyal members, become the remarkable organization that we know today.
On behalf of SDCASEA, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for all your enthusiastic support and participation throughout the years. And the life and work of an organization cannot be realized without the faithful support of the board of directors, the committee members, and the leadership of the past presidents. So sincere thanks, to all, for your commitment and hard work throughout the years. And now, SDCASEA stands with a membership of 350 strong, and this Special Issue is but a small tribute to all the wonderful events that have taken place over the years.
And as the year of 2003 begins, one starts to reminisce, to go over all the main highlights, to relive the events that have left their mark. The 2001-2002 years have been two fabulous and exciting years for the organization. This report highlights some of these activities and the results we have accomplished during the last 2 years.
